MCR and FOB are about par here, from what I've heard off of their newest releases. But Take This to Your Grave quickly rapes anything MCR has ever made.

Look at altairchaos dig his hole, quite amusing. My Chemical Romance is pop punk. Alterchaos doesnt have a good grasp of what punk is: Sex Pistols, old AFI, The Clash. Those are actual punk bands. My Chemical Romance are sell outs that have to rely on catchy choruses and thirteen year old girls to have success rather then complex guitar parts, interesting lyrics and actual original music. I don't despise the band as much as i do Fall Out Boy or Paramore, but they're like everyone else in the mainstream these days.

No, hardly any of their riffs are complex at all. I'm not saying any of them are bad, but punk isn't a technically complex genre. The whole point of it is being simple.



As a musician who plays bass and guitar I can tell you from experience, not much about AFI's music is complex beyond the occasional cool bassline. The Clash are just simple, good song writers, and the Sex Pistols have perhaps the easiest music to play in the entire world.

lmao, I'll agree that they have a nice song or two, The Sharpest Lives and Sleep are highlights. If they could just stop being so conformist about their image, then I would give them a tip of my hat.
