It's indeed a very fine album, with some of my favorite Gathering songs even but this morning when I heard it SOME songs felt like a slog. It was weird and disappointing and disgusting, I love this band and I used to love this album but... that's how it felt.

Is there a more perfect album? As much as I did already hold this in high regard, I don’t remember loving all of it this much. I kept thinking… where does this falter? Spoiler: it doesn’t. Golden Grounds is maaaaaybe the weakest / least remarkable(?), but it seems like a stretch labelling anything here as less than great.
