So.... I've had this for 6 months now, and when I got it I was horrendously excited, but I've never gotten round to watching it. That is tomorrow's job.

This is one of the only music dvd/videos that I want to watch over and over again. It should also be a promotional material for the tourism bureau of Iceland.

Just watched it again for the first time in awhile last night. Still just un-fucking-believably beautiful visually, and it really captures some of the most serene moments of Sigur's music, while also showing off some of their more heavy and epic moments (untitled 8 at the end is pretty much unparalleled).
But just watching sigur ros play untitled 1 acoustically out in the middle of an open plane is such a perfect moment. They're praised for being so beautiful in sound, but seeing them perform in such beautiful areas of their homeland puts their style into a perspective that gives the listener at least some hint of where they get their inspiration, and seeing them so in tune with their origins is just absolutely perfect.
