eh, just finished the new album. starts off strong but once it starts getting heavy with melancholy key ballads it slows to a halt. Basically all of the more 'active' tracks are great but the slow songs shit the fucking bed.

Yeah I ended up agreeing with that unfortunately, it starts off strong & I was optimistic it would stay the course. Slapped a 3/5 on it after a few tries. I’ll give it another shot at some point.

Yep, the new album seems like an opportunity missed. In fact I couldn't agree any more about your statement on reflection. I get all pumped listening to those first few tracks & then all that momentum just disappears in a flash... I mean there's nothing wrong with mixing up the tempo a little, but it never recovers from the lull. It's like they used up all their interesting ideas early on.

Weird, it's on spotify for me! The title track is a god-tier trip hop song and I do love the album but for the most part it's a lot lighter than this and Fear of Fours
