This really is something special. Every time I hear something new. One of those albums that’s absolutely worth the time investment. It covers so much ground whilst simultaneously contributing to a consistently engrossing whole.
Becoming a true all-time great for me.

Lol Pots, my 5s are so absurdly outdated and I’m not quite there yet (unless I have a complete change of ‘policy’ - probably overdue in all honesty).
It’s certainly not out of the question.

^ seems he did 5 (me), so few bumps since!
I have thought about dropping half of my current 5s recently, but never this… it is currently immune!
This owes a decent amount to atmo dnb and a not-insignificant dose to acid jazz. It is trip-hop royalty though, or should be at least. Incredible journey of an album. Unique amongst my current repertoire

instrumentation of this one sounds quite like early red snapper (prince blimey -> our aim), but those albums aged better imo

This has aged magnificently

dunno, used to like this a lot, but now I just don’t feel it, most of the beats are too generic 90’s trip-hop
only the double bass saves it, but red snapper did it better

I don’t think this is the same as Red Snapper, different vibe for me. I find this a lot easier to connect with and it uses DnB in different ways. I mean yeah there’s a bit of an acid jazz connection
Idk this has more ‘soul’ which is quite a difficult thing to quantify I guess
