ah, it was only a mere month and a half ago that I thought all Isis was boring outside of those two albums. I've since revisited their last two, and they're better than I remember.

definitely. well, there have been a few albums in the genre that hit me right away (Souls At Zero, new Rosetta, Oceanic) but for the most part all of my post-metal ratings are at least .5 higher than they were when I first rated them

yeah all of Neurosis's stuff has shuffled around for me lately. TSIB is now my favourite, and GTTR and Times Of Grace have moved towards the top of the pack

do you have any of their other stuff? do you like any other post-metal? neither is the most accessible Neurosis album, TSIB is much more dense and heavy where this is more tranquil and atmospheric.
I actually think Times of Grace and Given to the Rising are great starting points for the band, but you couldn't go wrong with Souls At Zero either.

but if you're asking what to listen to first, this and Given To The Rising. Through Silver In Blood is extremely inaccessible
