It's odd to me that this is considered the 'holy grail' of east coast and has a ridiculous 4.5 avg. Why not something like Brand Nubian or Big L, they're way better. I'm sure his influence and relevance at the time is a big factor, but man the music is a disappointment tbh. People often talk about him like he's the best at rapping or something. But like I said, the timbre of his voice really is great at least.

I don't. Big definitely was a goat before he died and still is in terms of lyrics/story telling but I definitely couldn't entertain the idea of a greatest of all time now due to the lack of emotional depth, variety, music period. Still, the 3/4 discs of music he has are definitely fantastic.

This absolutely destroys Liquid Swords, which is easily the most overrated Hip Hop album ever and isnt even a top 5 Wu Tang family record.

well, Wu Tang is just overrated as hell in general by people who haven't heard any other rap and liquid swords is the only stuff that came out of them that is even worth hearing. and Ironman by Ghostface is alright but not really worth the time. Seriously I have little respect for Wu Tang. shitty thin beats with a million dudes on the track that have nothing to say. Check out N.O.D. for some real shit

i always thought it was a below average album so I have no nostalgia for it, and everything else they made is so much worse. just my opinion, I'm not the biggest fan of east coast hip-hop anyways
