Listening to this album bears the similarity of dreaming that you're floating in darkness,speechless, unable to move, to touch or even hear anything. That's what it made me feel like the first time I ever heard this album. That said, it serves as one of the greatest albums to fall asleep to-and it is no way boring either. Just the production and effectiveness of each instrument contributes to the hypnotic and mesmerizing effects on burzum's debut album. It could do without 'The crying Orc', but it's merely one minute of a brilliant collection of 58 minutes of pure Black Metal-esque talent.
