the way i see it, lyrically, hardcore is more about leading a certain lifestyle like with "Straight Edge" by Minor Threat or "D.E.A.D.R.A.M.O.N.E.S." by Modern Life is War, it's all pretty much about how they live their lives and all that, and emo is more concerned with the journey of life and all that stuff.
Plus emo has a lot more clean sections and breaks in the "chaos". I don't really listen to much straight up hardcore, so really i'm not sure if what I just said is accurate with most other hardcore bands or not, but the few i've heard fit into that kind of deal.

I bought this after downloading Same Shade As Concrete listening to it for the first time i'm on "in the nervous light of sunday" and already this is an incredible album.

^That is true for many people, but I don't think it is that bad. Kill the Switch, Interview in the Ruins, and Non-Objective Portrait of Karma are definetly my favorites though.This Message Edited On 01.30.08
