Yeah I remember this being a 4.4 now it's seemingly had something of a Sputnik backlash. It's quite an amazing record and deserves the former rating as opposed to the current 4.1 in my books but it's not the most aesthetic record in the World and typically reactions like "it sounds like someone being raped" or whatever people have said are to be expected. The blasting nature of this lends itself to an even more obscure status. But when you're into the vibe, like this type of thing, or are fascinated by the literature-like lyrics and the core concept, it's immensely enjoyable.

Why am I struggling to find a physical copy at a standard sort of price? £15+ is a bit much for a used one & for a new copy it's an insane amount of money. I thought there'd be more in circulation.

£25 is too much, not exactly a standard price (unless you mean Vinyl). Although the only new ones I could find were way more, maybe I'm not looking in the right place.

I snagged this vinyl on tour for like $20. I'm not even sure I really like this album that much anymore, but it holds a lot of nostalgia value for me, and they were really fun to see live.
