Dude get over yourself. I don't see how you can compare IGN to Decibel Magazine. It's still a underground zine but with good distribution. I would say IGN would be on par with Rolling Stone. Seriously get over the fact someone thinks you can't write good "bad" reviews. I haven't rated any of your other reviews as bad yet, mainly because I'm reading the reviews where you liked the music, I just think your writing style is poor and you sound like a angsty zit ridden kid, not a objective observer of the album.

10% I won't worry about that, it won't get used much. I vote what I think is classic and will leave it at that.

"Angsty zit ridden kid"? Calm down dude. Personally, I could care less what you think about me or my writing, but if want to act like you're superior, then I'll believe what you're saying and ask for advice. So I'm asking you, where do you think I could've done better? Everytime I pointed something out that I didn't like in this review, I backed it up with reasons as to why. You're coming in with a mindset of worshipping this album and automatically blind yourself into thinking how much this review sucks. For all I know, it could. However, there's nothing wrong with me wanting to improve, and if you're saying something's wrong then please tell where I could get better.

Maybe it’s the same riff used 20-times throughout one song, or maybe it’s the vocalist who sounds like someone took a spork and carved up his vocal chords

This irked me a little because, I mean, it's Thrash and you basically described the entire genre.

I mean all of what I quoted.

Hrm, I can understand the part about the riffs, but the vocals in thrash really vastly differentiate with each band. Most black/thrash vocalists sound similar, true, but with that line I was trying to get the image across that this guy sounds like his voice is shot.

I just mean that Thrash vocalists tend to be particularly grating, mind you I realize that's a huge chunk of the point and mostly intentional.

Ok yeah I see your point. I'll fix that later tonight when I get done with my finals. Anything else you see that irks you Coke?

I'm not neither on metal-archeives nor any other forums. Just happend to read some reviews here, and misunderstood the concept at first. Now I get it; If you disagree with the reviewer, you must argue for it. Right?

Somewhat. Let's use this review for example, since our ratings are vastly different. You don't vote "yes/no" based upon the rating, but if the reviewer backs up his arguments. So you could totally disagree with the rating, but still acknowledge that it was a well-written review. You'll pick it up as time as goes on :thumb:

And sorry, I thought you came from another metal forum because the general public doesn't really know Audiopain, Nocturnal Breed, or especially Dead to this World if you know what I mean

Where are you from? I take it you love black/thrash. I'm not too huge into that hybrid of a genre. See, I've never been a huge fan of that old, gurgled production that a lot of black/thrash bands grasp onto. However, bands like Destroyer 666 and Gospel of the Horns don't, so that's why I enjoy them (with Destroyer 666 being one my favorite bands). I also tend to really enjoy a lot of retro-thrash that comes out, as opposed to many who hate it.This Message Edited On 12.12.07This Message Edited On 12.12.07

No problem. I got kind of the same responds after giving a slightly better rating to a Darkthrone-album earlier...hehe.

I'm Norwegian and love old schooll everything. Heavy, death, thrash, black etc. I also like some Destroyer 666, but their big problem is that clean prioduction, which not fit their music very well (IMO). My favourite productions of all time is: Darkness Descends, Reign In Blood, Under A Funeral Moon and Mental Funeral. None of these albums would be even close to as great as they are with better productions!

Darkness Descends and Reign in Blood are fucking killer man. Welcome to the site, hope you stick around :thumb:

You ever listen to Deathchain's "Deathrash Assault"? I didn't see it on your ratings, though I've got a feeling you know them. That album isn't as raw, as say, Aura Noir's, but it's still amazing. This Message Edited On 12.12.07
