I have heard 'Thriller' as well. And 'Bad' I think but I can't remember what it goes like.

I don't own this album, but I've heard about half the songs on here. This album is commonly recognized as a landmark in pop music, and I still can't believe I haven't purchased it yet. Despite his personal problems and all of that crap, Michael Jackson was a brilliant pop artist in his day. I'm surprised that this would get anything below 4.5/5, if only for it's position as a genre-defining album, and the extensive influence it has had on pop music over the last 20 years. But as I said, I haven't heard the full-album, so perhaps it has been overrated by the mainstream.

This is what pop music is all about. To me MJ will always be the King of Pop. This album is pure gold and despite the tingle of shame I feel admitting that I love this album. Thriller alone needs to warrent this at least a 4.5 rating. A true classic that's only been tainted by the media's coverage of poor MJ in recent years.

Michael Jackson is INNOCENT!!!

this album has a fair amount of crap to be so classic. It also needs more Shamone's HOOOOOOOOOOO's and AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH's to be considered tr00 MJ :p

Micheal Jackson lives in my closet...
Considering he has almost no recollection of the Pre-Historic period when he was black, he considers this his favorite album. He especially likes "Beat It"...at night

Is anybody else sick of Micheal Jackson jokes? It's considered edgy comedy and anybody who makes said jokes think they're being a shock comic. But the jokes are so predicatable now and everyone uses them I cant take it anymore.

This album is almost perfect in my opinion. Almost, since The Girl Is Mine is kinda cheesy and The Lady In My Life is only good, not great.

But other than that every track is practically perfect. Human Nature is my favourite and PYT and Baby Be Mine are so underrated.

No album is perfect, Revolver comes close, therefore Id have to give Thriller 5/5 since along with some of The Beatles albums its about as close to a perfect pop album ever.

He didn't rape the kid if he even did anything it would be called child molest.

That doesn't even matter does it. I mean do you hate Keith Moon for running over a man and killing him. No. Because you shouldn't judge a musicians personal life and music together.

Something like that.

Well made point. However, Keith's fuck up was a bit cooler. This Message Edited On 05.31.06

I'm not sure if that's always true. I mean, I'd feel a bit weird picking up Hitler's Greatest Hits, ya know?
