Uhhh, this is a bad review of this album. You talk about these intros, and the majority of their intros are not that long, you said 45 seconds, its less and the ones that do go longer don't drag, they are utilized and interesting. Intro to Love Like Rockets is incredible. And you talk about Star of Bethlehem being pointless and I guess it's opinion but I think it's a good solid instrumental track, but its so obvious that Jumping Rooftops could have been taken out, but you say it fills Lifeline and Rite of Spring, nicely. How? I don't understand why they added that song on the record. It sounds almost exactly the same as Call To Arms.
"there is no song that rivals Rite of Spring, the verses has a distinctive Blink-182"
No.
This is a great album, I just don't agree with your comments.

Uh in case you didnt notice lifeline and rite of spring are very different songs, the band needed to split it up a little and thus jumping rooftops fills its purpose its nothing spectacular but it does what its meant to do,
Star of Bethlehem was originally both the star of bethlehem on this record and true love put together, all they did was split up an 8 minute song to fill a spot in the track listing, it would have been easy enough to just cut it out entirely.
Its my opinion dude and if you dont like it make your own review, its as simple as that.
Edit: And just cuz you dont agree with what i said doesnt mean its a bad review, only we have different opinions dipshit. This Message Edited On 11.02.07
| | | You are one defensive motherfucker.
Lets make out.
| | | Ya you are a defensive mother fucker why dont you take some criticism?
Uh in case you didn't know you don't have to split up different songs with a 40 second instrumental that sounds extremely similar to another song on the record.
And I realize that we have different opinions and you are entitled to yours, thats what my last sentence inferred smart ass.
It isn't a bad review because we don't have the same opinion.
"Most songs are driven by a new found drumming aspect of the band"
Are you kidding? New found? Atom's drumming drove the first album as well, it was the best thing about it.
"it is a copy of Blink-182’s Anthem Part 2 and has a rhythm very similar to many of The Cure’s songs"
Hmmm similar to many of The Cure's songs, I believe thats called an influence.
"verses are sang out of place"
How so?
Again, you're wrong about the intros.
"their first record the majority was a swirling mixture of space effects"
I agree with you on this, but I don't like how you completely leave out how well they use their electronic elements on this album. They utilize them so well they are a huge part of the record, and use so many electronic timbres its incredible.
It's called a critique, sorry about that. This Message Edited On 11.03.07This Message Edited On 11.03.07

Love it. Seems like Tom was more able to embrace his Blink past with this album. Sirens and Rite Of Spring are by far my favs.

You guys are all insane, this is a great album! Yeah, the cover looks like Star Wars, thats 'cause it was painted the guy who did the original 70's posters for Star Wars. The two songs, Star Of Bethlehem and True Love, were originally one song, Star Of Bethlehem, which was originally released on Kevin And Bean's Super Christmas (a fundraiser album).

Anyone that votes an album a five 5 days after its release doesn't deserve my time.

Really? Then you do in fact not deserve your own time.
Radiohead - In Rainbows... How many days were it? One day, two days?...
