need an anniversary tour for this album, would see some interesting crowd reactions

They'd probably cancel all remaining dates after a week of playing this cause Oli blew his voice out
He's better but still can't really pull off screams for more than a couple of lines at a time

They really want you to believe they're so much better than they are on this album. It has some slightly more intricate than average riffing, lots of squealing harmonics, moments of sweeps and blast beats... And yet sounds so mundane it is unbelievable. It's almost like they thought "let's try and make a tech deathcore album," yet had no idea how to write good songs. And Oli sounds atrocious
|
| |
what makes you think they wanted this to be a tech deathcore album as opposed to just a deathcore album lmao

I didn't say they wanted it to be, I said "it's almost like they thought," as in a sarcastic manner. The fact they try and use semi-intricate riffs that actually sound completely generic, and the attempts at sweeps in Pray For Plagues that have to be as slow as possible suggests that i'm correct.

this is such disjointed jank that calling it tech is a valid backhand. still shocked that there are people who'd touch this outside of high school jfc
