Well written review but does this music deserve it? Maybe I'll write a sonnet to describe my dog's solid waste.

To whoever wrote this review...

I don't think you understand how grossly predictable it was that a staff writer here would give this album a 4.

Why do you want to turn this site into an absolute stereotype?

This is not Rolling Stone, for the love of god.

This record is a mixed bag. I like about half of it, the rest wasn't exactly memorable.

Why do you want to turn this site into an absolute stereotype?

YES WHY?!?

I don't like the production in this. All this album does is make me wish Kylie's album came even sooner.

It's no "FutureSex" as a pop/dance album, but it is absolutely essential for those following modern pop/dance becuase it is really good.

I know this is completely personal opinion, but I think this is actually a bit better than FutureSex/LoveSounds, because I listen to Blackout all the way through (and enjoy the whole thing), whereas with FutureSex I tend to stop listening after the first half or so.

This release should have never happened in my opinion. This album is really, really bad. Just makes me hate the mainstream even more. Though your review is very well done. Cheers.

I hate this type of mindless pop music. This is targeted to young girls who will grow up worshiping this dumb hoe and that will just bring more sluts in this world that make stupid decisions while at the same time be a club hit. She can't even sing, I am sorry if I popped your bubble, but its true. She has no talent.

Splat Out Path, are you and I the only ones defending this album now? It really deserves it, contrary to what some say.

You know what I find funny, is that Gimme More is my least favorite song on the album. A little off topic, but funny nonetheless.

The problem is not what we don't like about this album. The thing is that in your review, you never describe or tell us about any elements that make of this record an excellent one. Giving this a four certainly degrades so many albums that have more depth, talent and more good songs.

And while you never said you were going to be objective, it makes me wonder then, if a sputnikmusic staff reviewer only needs good writing skills despite of innacurate ratings. I prefer objectiveness. Becuase Blackout nor Unbreakable deserve such a high rating.

@Splat Out Path

Yeah but still it will find its way to a pre-teen girls hands and destroy her mind.

Because Britney Spears is like an evil genius with her pre-teen mind destroying ways.

Genius? Ha! I find that as laughable as this release.

But the question must be answered. What about this album makes it "excellent". Props to Djnx.

If you're looking for intelligent music in the vein of Lennon or the like, you won't find it here (obviously). However, excellent music doesn't have to make you think; sometimes, it just has to be fun, and make you dance. Which I feel Blackout does very well. This Message Edited On 11.01.07
