I've only heard March of Mephisto off of this, but it's awesome.

I wasn't making a Chuck Norris joke, rather a realistic take on his present status. The fact that I added rationale to someone else's Chuck Norris reference discredits any "joke" that was made (i.e. I took it literally and chose not to see the immature, "high school side" of the joke).

Album rules, i'm looking between a 4-4.5. The Haunting, Abandoned, and Memento Mori are top notch. I should have listened to this first before Ghost Opera though. And for the record, Patrick Swayze is where it's at. He was a bad mother fucker, get well soon.

The Haunting, Abandoned, and Memento Mori

My three favorite off of here too . Abandoned is easily my favorite though with The Haunting very far behind.

And, who does all the female vocals here and on Ghost Opera? I never see any mention of them in any of Kamelot's reviews.

Simone Simons does the vocals on The Haunting, while Mari does it on Abandoned and Memento Mori. Simone returns on Ghost Opera with Blucher, while Amanda Somerville does vocals on Ghost Opera, Mourning Star, and Love You To Death.

Had this sitting at a 4.5 for a long time, then I figured, "eh, a 5 certainly isn't too high. Especially when it's probably the band's best album."

I think the title track is quite underrated personally.

Isn't insulting Chuck Norris against the law?

Anyways, I think this album pretty good, i'm not a huge fan of Soul Society though

The Haunting, Soul Society, Moonlight, the title track, Memento Mori and Serenade are the best tracks here. But I digress. This whole album is amazing, every song I enjoy. Took me time to get used to Abandoned for some reason, though.

Also an excellent release. Although ''This Pain'' and ''Nothing Ever Dies'' could've been left out.

No weak tracks at all, just a couple forced riffs.

Fixed. It's an amazing power metal album, but not one of the best albums ever.
