Hear "Deliverance" live and you will be falling in love with this band.

I was praying for them to play Deliverance live during Prog Nation, but they played Wreath instead. Still a great song, but Deliverance is probably my favorite song of all time (tied with Falling Snow by Agalloch). I would have died if they had played it.

i prefer wreath actually

Oh, it was definitely excellent. Akerfeldt led it off by saying that it's the first tour in a while they'd been playing it live, and then went on to say that if you hated death metal, you probably wouldn't like the next song.

Wreath is a cool opener. A Fair Judgement is my favorite here though.

Master's Apprentices is one of my all-time favorite Opeth songs. Riff is fucking killer.

A Fair Judgment and Wreath are the best here.
Deliverance (song) goes on far too long though, even by Opeth-standards lol

A well written review, I’m not really a huge Opeth fan but even in comparison to albums like Orchid, My Arms Your Hearse and Blackwater Park this comes off as sort of dull and sterile atmosphere wise
|
| |
Yah I really need to see them live
|

I now love Master's Apprentices. Sounds very Morbid Angel-y, but stretched out much longer and with less crazy drumming (I mean like there isn't constant doubless bass drums throughout teh whole song like MA) lol
