Lol there’s room for liking both Mars Volta and Coheed, I’ll not have a bad word against Comatorium

Zak - this’d be a weird place to start if you fancied giving Coheed a try, would recommend IV as a good starting place. ...but yeah you’ll likely hate it lol

Radio Bye Bye is almost a really good song, but it kinda fucks it

and I guess their least Mars Voltary are the first two, but you'd probs hate those even more so start with Fear Through the Eyes of Madness?

Unheavenly Creatures is the only one I wouldn't compare with Mars Volta tbqh

CC's debut and sophomore albums are very reminiscent of MV's debut

Think I’ll start with Fears Through the Eyes of Madness cos of the Shem and John recs + the absolute pile of cunt title.

Honestly I’d never really thought C&C are that similar to MV before. They have noodly guitars at times and both have high pitched vocals but MV are wayyyyyy more wanky

I wouldn't compare any of these to the Mars Volta... If you like more post hardcore kinda shit listen to Second Stage. If you like a more modern progressive rock check In Keeping Secrets. If you like more old school progressive rock with leanings towards Led Zeppelin, and Yes check Good Apollo 1.

Really good album. Going to listen a bit more but I think overall it's uneven. Feathers is gorgeous and should always be played live
