Yep. That is what they have done on every concert so far in this tour. My buddy just went to the show last night and he said they played Colors and encored with Selkies. They take one break for a minute or two somewhere in there.

So you're saying they have a 2 and a half hour set, one a four band tour?
what? no, Colors is like a little over an hour, then selkies is like 8 minutes, so more like hour, 15 to hour and half.

damn imagine being on stage and playing for like an hour straight thats gotta be so freakin hard, another reason i respect them so much and contributes to giving them a 5 lol
|

What the hell? I agree it's cool, but tons of bands play 2 hour + sets.

yeah but they play them with stops between songs.. btbam doesnt. and not a whole lot of bands that i know play over 2 hours live arcade fire only did like an hour and 45 mins including the encore, and that was their last nyc show for a while so they wouldve done longer than usual if anything

No, I misread it lol (back to back, as in twice...which would be f'ing stupid as shit...)...but seriously most bands like that would never play a 2 hour set. It's not only hard, but it's really, really pathetic (i mean c'mon there's other bands, let them share some time)
I just wish I didn't miss the tour (the show just came yesterday )

I plan on getting this soon. Sounds great from what i've heard.
So is this kind of like Dream Theater only heavier and with more metalcore influences?

they are heavy at times and the main thing they play is definitely metalcore, but theres a great blend with of other stuff too so that sorta balances out the heavy parts

anyway, mathcore is a subgenre of metalcore. mathcore, according to wiki:
a style of metalcore recognized for a high level of technical musicianship. The music is usually filled with discordant, technical riffing, and complex time signatures and song structures. Songs played by bands of this style tend to vary from mere seconds in length to over 15 minutes and rarely feature a conventional verse-chorus song structure. Converge and The Dillinger Escape Plan are two mathcore bands.
Pretty much describes BTBAM to a tee, doesnt it now
not to mention dillinger and btbam have toured together and stuff and theyre obviously pretty similar
im broke i could really use that 100 dollars too

Hey guess what arguing about what genre BTBAM is makes you look like an idiot.
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.0
Mathcore isn't a genre, so using it makes you an even bigger idiot. The Dillinger Escape PLan are the only "mathcore" band because Chris Pennie coined that term.
BTBAM is just metal at this point. Trying to specify further is redundant.
