I bought Obscura double LP Gatefold a few years ago and just couldn't get into it at first... even thought about selling it to a bigger fan and now it's in the 4.5-5 range and Gorguts are in my top 5 dm bands, haha. I wouldn't put the two in the same league (and different style obvs) but owning the physical copy can have a lot of influence I think

i mean... obscura is a completely different beast, and most gorguts albums have a lot more going on than these guys ever did

oh don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing bad about this band at all. the problem is me for whatever reason. the way they make music just does not grab my attention, idk. like I said, maybe one day. lots of stuff I don’t vibe with eventually makes sense when I’m in the right headspace.

@parks, yeah like I said different league and style but I always feel I become more attached to an album I own on vinyl for the most part which is what I’m getting at
