If I remove my nostalgia-tinted lens for a moment this is prolly a 4.1-ish

"If I remove my nostalgia-tinted lens for a moment" - how can you even do that, what's the secret?

KoL so high up is a take I can appreciate even if I disagree.

I mean you can’t, realistically…

Yet here we are

I guess in retrospect I actually hated most of my ‘youth’ (inc. early 20s) so there you go I guess

Depends. Some music from that era survived (inc. this) so I guess the rest was binned simply because it was bad music in retrospect, idk

I guess some music gave me a lot of comfort between those bouts of alcohol and drug induced depressive episodes in my early twenties...and some albums hit real hard during my worst break ups. Music was probably a bit more a visceral thing for me in the past.

Now I just listen to so much music in a 'generally contented, slightly stressed' state and that's just a slightly different pleasure.

Yeah. ‘Fortunately’ I’ve retained just enough anxiety and existential dread throughout my 30s (so far) that I can apply this to new experiences (including music!)

Hopefully my descent into full-on mid-life crisis will enhance future discoveries.

My ongoing midlife crisis fuels my obsession for music. As someone once noted, “music is your only friend”.

I think Reckoner maybe the bands best hidden gem. Idk, something about that song is just so perfect.

Nice. Easily my favourite Radiohead album. OK Computer is a lot more groundbreaking musically but there is just something special about In Rainbows.
