Agreed. A collection of very nice b-sides though.

I haven’t heard the second disc. Where/how might I acquire it? My CD just has the regular Rainbows album.

i think it was just part of the box they offered when the record first came out but it should be easily accessible from your everyday torrent site/google search or whatev

This is a fantastic album and certainly top tier RH, but I’m surprised by how many consider it to be their best album.

Has the cohesiveness and atmosphere of Kid A with the songwriting of OK Computer.

It's their best if you're really really into Adult Alternative, I guess. To me this has none of the off-putting (in a good way) weirdness of the 4 records before it, and just sounds like RH comfortably hashing out a concise, admittedly very good but very safe record that could pretty much fit comfortably on the CD sales rack at Starbucks. Not a bad record by any stretch of the imagination but the elitism with which some claim this to be their "best" is hilarious

It's very safe and that's why it is the most consistent Radiohead album. Not my favorite though.

Timeless record imo. I would use the word refined rather than safe

Well its safe and so is OK Computer. In fact, the band is pretty safe in general. I guess I wouldn't even consider Kid A to be inaccessible. Moon Shaped Pool might be the most unsafe and inaccessible of their material, at least for my listening experience.

Correct, everything they do is safe for the standards of actually experimental music. But even for Radiohead standards, this is quite safe, probably the safest Radiohead album not considering the first two.

thing is this alb isn't meant to be as experimental as kid a so if that's the vantage you go into it, you'll be disapointed. Feel as if this album is just about musical excellence, no bells and whistles.

It's a less experimental radiohead album, at least tonally, but that's not a negative of the album, its just a characteristic
