It doesn't physically restrict you from rating them as 5's. If you wanted to, you could give a 5 to every album to rate on the site. It's pretty much there as a polite reminder to only rate a 5 if you feel that strongly about it.

the lead singer is the bombcrons. the scream 2:23 into Starchild is particularly great IMO.

Beautiful Death is the best song here by far. I wish Jari made more songs like that.
But songs like Battle Against Time and Death and the Healing are still awesome, and all the other songs too.

Great review, good to see someone with another opinion. Maybe I will check this out, the albumcover is a killer though.

this review is choppy, and you obviously didn't let it grow on you
I felt the exact same thing when I listened to this, but it just keeps getting better, I dont think your review is very strong either, it doesn't flow very well and it sounds like you're thinking out loudThis Message Edited On 10.10.07

Wow, you think this is worthy of a neg. Meh, I'm obviously biased but I didn't think it was a bad review, not my worst anyway.

Sorry I just don't think it was well written. When I read it I was like 'eh'. I think you need listen to this a couple more times and refine your opinion. You also didn't back yourself up very well.

I've listened to it enough, my opinion doesn't usually change suddenly when I listen for about the tenth time, I give all (unless they're really, really bad) albums a chance. Besides, I do like this album, I just expected it to be absolutely mind-blowing, when it wasn't.
What parts do you think are choppy if I may ask?

Meh, alright then.
Does anyone know if there has been a date announced for when the new album is set to be released? Google won't work for me at the moment

Oh I didn't notice this review. I never got the hype around this album, its pretty good, but no where near what alot of people around here make it out to be.

This is one of those albums that has to grow on you. This isn't just from my experience. It got better with every listen for me and I've heard this from many others as well. It also seems that people who have only listened to the album a few times like Far Beyond the Sun the best, but people who have listened to it a lot always have different opinions (usually Beautiful Death is their favorite). Far Beyond the Sun is the easiest to like upon first listen, but I think the others are a lot deeper (and longer). I didn't mean for that last sentence to sound sexual BTW.

I gave this album a 3 at first and passed it off as overrated. But man, it grew on me, and now it's way up there. Definitely a grower album.

I don't like this whole 'you have to listen to it a lot for it to grow on you' thing, how many times do you need to listen to it? Because I've listened to this album all the way through at least ten times, and it's been no different each time. And frankly, I can listen to better albums without so much effort.

Some people miss things in the record they notice the second time around. Especially in an album that has many things going on repeated spins help with details.
