If you think this is good, see these guys live. Eric, especially, is legitimately nuts. Saw them at Bamboozle today. Their new stuff isn't as noteworthy, but this stuff is great. Good review, too.

It’s difficult to know what to think of Foxy Shazam’s debut LP ‘The Flamingo Trigger’. It’s messy, frenetic, convoluted & just downright weird; as a post-hardcore sound is given a theatrical, cabaret-like injection. The music – led by some stellar piano melodies – eventually wins you over in a unique kind of way. However, the same cannot be said of the ridiculous lyrics & hyperactive screams of Eric Nally, which totally ruin what potential there is here. It’s no wonder then that the highlight is one of two instrumental pieces contained on this gimmicky album with little lasting value! Recommended Tracks: Seagulls Over Rhinosuarus Bay Part II & The French Passion of Animality Opera.

The only thing preventing me from giving me this a 5 is that it's just f-u-c-k-i-n-g r-i-d-o-n-c-u-l-o-u-s, which is good most of the time, but in songs like 'NO. Don't Shoot' (which is still good) it get's to be a little too much. :C
