would like to know the fans opinion. For me this was the first one I didn't immediately related to other bands. Like looks they've found a true identity and originality. Although I really liked the quality and the previous albums as a whole, that was the main issue I found that I don't find on this one.

I remember the first time I heard this album and it got to sleeping dogs and was just like UHH WHAT

In regards to your comment deftone there's a bit of cave in influence on here, and obviously shuggs with sleeping dogs but yeah this is definitely where they carved a niche for themselves

In case of the Cave In influence i would like to point to Big Riff from Jupiter.

Unfamiliar delivers a similar feeling and contains an comparably unorthodox song structure like Big Riff.

Also some of the riffs remind me of that

Savant just transcends music. Just pure songwriting beauty.

I tried Cave In before, it was a "so so" experience (prob I just wasn't in the right mood) until today with the 1st release...fuck dudes!! And I can see the influences. TKS guys.

Edit: relistening to this one and I don't regret a bit 4.5'd it!

Jupiter is however far superior to Until your Heart stops

I'm probably in the minority, but my personal favs is PPB and White Silence. Rarely listen to Jupiter

I mean they're also pretty good (3,5-4), but only a handful of songs on each record contain what i look for in Cave In

they're much more diverse which I personally enjoy and shows the strengths of Cave In imo. these guys can right all kinds of music and ebb and flow with emotions and I really like that in those releases.

I really want to 5 this, but I just can't get into Sleeping Dogs at all. The first four are among the best progressive rock tracks in existence, and The Frame makes me well up every damn time.

This is Oceansize's best, by a comfortable margin.

This is as 5 as a 5 gets for me. The only thing that i listened to in this year that is almost as 5 as this is Panopticon by ISIS

And i would say that Effloresce and Frames are pretty much on par, with Frames being a bit more coherent and Effloresce offering a wide range of variety

I really should continue listening to Effloresce, I'm sure it'll continue to grow. Everyone into Position is already getting there, not least because The Last Wrongs is unreal. Would have given anything to see that song performed live.

They are truely a musician's group. Any band i saw live that played a somewhat comparable music style adores them
