Johnny and I discussed how urgent Ulver sometimes feel (in the Blood Inside thread I think it was). The first track here is such a good example of this. Wow.

One of the rare instances where pointing out christian hypocrisy actually had an effect.

For sure, very underrated.

Blake was awesome agreed, he remains very relevant to this day and I don't think that is going to change soon.

I love Ulver but I never could quite get into this one as much as some of their other masterpieces

It's just such a lovable mess

Also it has some of Garm's most memorable/cheesy lines

A very lovable mess yes. So much wrong here yet to me it all works and makes for one of their most engrossing listens, and I cannot ever get enough of it.

Plus Garm on here oh yeeeaaaah.

I have always found that Sputnikkers have the vanity to speak of themselves as the only wise; this they do with a confident insolence sprouting from systematic reasoning.

This pisses me off without listening to it and I feel like I want to lower the rating.

Yet it's the inside that counts.

Or so they say.

...

Is it the inside that counts?

Also your previous comment does not bode well for your evaluation of the insides...

Hmmmmmmm...

Sputnikkers who restrain desire, do so because theirs is weak enough to be restrained.
