Lol nothing really set me off I told u I was basically just fuckig around but it was pretty gay that u were asked directly like 5

times to give specific examples of albums you've heard that u thought were better because people were legit curious and u

continued to give the generic "just check last fm" reply

Whatever man this is dumb anyway I've spent way too much time thinking about this

Peace!

And I kept telling you to check lastfm because i think most of the best albums from most of those bands are around the same level as this. why is this not sinking in.

also again with the "obscure" shit. check the first 15 pages of their last fm. most of those are very popular classic bands.

polvo, unwound, shellac, big black, rapeman, drive like jehu, rodan, shipping news, have a nice life, the jesus lizard, swans, hoover, don caballero, bark psychosis, tortoise, this heat, the microphones, scratch acid, minutemen, set fire to flames, flying saucer attack, duster, fugazi, gastr del sol, the pop group, bastro, dismemberment plan, bitch magnet, lightning bolt, nation of ulysses, rites of spring, glenn branca, husker du, flipper, mission of burma, olivia tremor control, wire, silver mt zion, lowercase, hrsta, james chance, iceage, labradford, disco infero, slowdive, indian summer, faust, us maple, cul de sac, swell maps, cows, red house painters, codeine, boredomes, bardo pond, sonic youth, boris, pere ubu, galaxie 500, swirlies, exuma, fly pan am, talk talk, do make say think, jawbox, mogwai, faraquet, pissed jeans, dna, neu!, thinking fellers union local 282, carissa's weird, can, the beat happening, chapterhouse, mars, saccharine trust, wipers, unsane, dirty three, the birthday party, whirr, ride, planning for burial, gang of four, earth, battles, throbbing gristle, dinosaur jr, mclusky, lungfish, guided by voices, natural snow buildings, spacemen 3, oxbow, giraffes? giraffes!, suicide, melvins, nomeansno, medicine, yndi halda, grails, royal trux, dope body, hum, the archers of loaf, mercury rev, the meat puppets, low, the evapatoria report, built to spill, liars, jesu, grouper, orchid, pg, 99, loop, the fall, tar, les rellizes denudes, hood, half japanese, kayo dot, dazzling killmen, the men, sun city girls, moonshake, harvey milk, butthole surfers, maudlin of the well, rachel's, arab on radar, yo la tengo, women, black eyes,

those are a bunch off the first 13 pages. all those bands are pretty big on rym, lastfm, and generally anywhere else even here. some dont sound exactly like slint but they're all in the same post-rock, post-hardcore, post-punk, indie, experimental arena. basically you should prob like em if you like this. so fuckin A man i actually typed all that shit out but i love you.

I've heard a bunch of those groups Yankee. (Lol did u copy and paste from last fm) Lots of great shit obvs but nothing from there that I've heard that really comes that close to this for me.

Also I'm failing to make a significant connection to maudlin of the well hm....

I prob will check others eventually but right now prog/psych/post punk has a bigger pool of what I want to hear

Funny dude, I actually did jam SG today for the first time in years, dusted off an old cd case and threw badmotorfinger in my car CD player for old times sake. Rocked hard.

maudlin and others are obv not as high similarity, but eh they both got that experimental vibe.

you dont think anything there comes close to this though? ha i mean slint would be in the upper half for sure

but alot of those bands are certified top shelf even if some dont sound exactly like em.

opinions and sheeeeit though lets not fight ever again < 3
