i listened the first time and was disappointed, but the more i listened the more it got tolerable.
|

but this band is just making weird strides now.
|
| |
why can't we rate the album yet anyway? it always goes to a white page..
|
| |
tolerable =/= high rating
|
| |
oh, well ill probably give it a 3.5 or so...
come alive and summer's end i dont mind.

INCONCEIVABLE!

Also, can I join the triple-posting chain gang?
|

Wait never mind I just did

The title for this CD is amazing.

i was so pumped for this album after hearing The Pretender..until your review haha.i
guess i should've known, as i tend to find some of the Foo's stuff to get a bit boring
and samey. but dave grohl seems like a cool guy. definitely letting my buddy buy it first
and then i'll 'borrow' it. nice job on the review. someone took a turn to negative town
though ey? but i guess you can't defend bland recycled songs, even if you're a fanThis Message Edited On 09.18.07

Where did you get the record from? it's out on 25/9

The interwebs.

totally agree with this review, IMO, the first album, 'Everlong' and 'Hero' are this band's only real achievements
|
| |
With every Foo Fighter album apart from TCATS, the singles are good but everything else is mediocre.

The Pretender is rather forgettable. They won't ever top their older material. This Message Edited On 09.18.07

" I’ve never really been a fan of the Foo Fighters."
there we go, straight away, explicitly biased review.
no offense intended, but this is still what i dont understand about reviewing.. shouldnt it be impartial?
|
| |
^By that logic, no one should be permitted to write reviews for bands they enjoy either.
If you think it is biased, wait for the release date and write your own review.
|
| |
i know.. its awkward.. and crap logic really haha
but i cant think of anything more personal, more subjective, than musical taste..
maybe there should be some kind of guidelines for reviewing stuff? ah i dunno
its not really important, i think im just splitting hairs here
