Yeah I think this is so far above all other Nu-Metal releases that came out in the same era. It ascends to something much higher but doesn't really fall neatly into another genre other than alternative metal. But labels aside I will never forget putting this album on a pair of 20 dollar headphones laying in my bed as a 15 year old and hearing this for the first time before going to bed for school the next day. I thought about this album the entire day, something really special

Yeah it's tough to think back and try to figure out where the various metal doors opened for me, but for sure this was part of a group of albums with a lot of harsh vocals that really expanded things. And musically...fuck this was jaw dropping.

Idk if there's any other album that blends heaviness, catchiness, and all-around great songwriting so seamlessly. When another nu-metal band writes an insane chorus in 7/8 let me know, because I can't seem to find it anywhere else.

Totally wrote this band off 100% back when they were in their prime. Couldn’t get past the outfits/make up. I’ll need to check this album out. All I’ve heard is Dig.
