New album is a massive improvement on Coma Ecliptic.

New album is definitely a step up from Coma Ecleptic but I can't stand the over-usage of cleans on Automata. Tommy's cleans are just so gratingly bad anymore and he's gotten worse with each new album when it comes to cleans. If used sparingly I wouldn't be bothered but they are thrown all over the place.

The new album is really impressive. Less wank, and more melodic prog without it being too over the top or corny. Perhaps most impressive is how short it feels.
