Leftoverture is one of the 5 best rock albums of all time. A masterful fusion of classical with
contemporary. Underneath the styling the structure is solid technically. Pure genius at every turn.
How this reviewer can bash the album so much seems to reveal his mainstream pop tastes. COWS is not
the best song on the album. In fact none of the songs in themselves are the
best; rather, there are segments from every song that really stand out. Maybe that is what
progressive rock was all about.

This is the album that really got me into prog rock. Earlier Kansas albums as well as Pink Floyd's works interested me but Leftoverture showed me that rock could be as complex as classical, have the skill in musicianship of jazz and the meaningful lyrics of blue grass yet sill be exciting.
To me, this album is a milestone in progressive rock and an absolute classic
