^Truth, the songwriting is generic and boring. The band lacks any real talent too. Last but most important is that I, and I'm sure most agree, gather no emotional reaction from music this bland.

Big dissapointment. Guitar work went very far down in this album and it is all so...bland. There isn't any flare. Couple of good thing here or there, but to go from Deathgrip to this is just sad.

This is funny btw:

i have no idea what happened to this band after a death grip but this album sucks ass. where is the screaming???? it sounds like nu metal. PARKWAY DRIVE is what you call true metal/hardcore.

Atreyu used to be my fave band wen i first got into metal but now im into death metal like nile and stuff. I dont like em much now but i can understand how ppl like tribe can like em coz the guitar work isnt bad and its fairly catchy. This Message Edited On 08.30.07

Good point.

I want at least The Curse-like screaming.

Wow.

Upon several listens to this record, I have come to the conclusion it is not even HALF as bad as this review makes it out to be.

i've given this album a listen-through, and i've decided that it's not completely terrible. Definitely not their best work (the Curse imo), but dammit if it isn't catchy half the time. i might buy it simply because i'm sort of a fanboy. hell, i bought all 3 records AND the best of (aka Victory's last-ditch attempt to make money off of Atreyu after they got signed to Hollywood). This Message Edited On 09.17.07

This is better than I gave credit for after giving a couple of listens. Still not great by any means.

I finally heard "Becoming the Bull" on the radio today, and it's by far the best thing they've ever done (that I've heard). Aside from one good lick, it was still wicked bland. I probably won't be picking up this record, but I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of vomited vocals.

I think "Lose It" is an awesome song. Other songs I like on the album are "Lose It" , and "Lose It" . Did I mention " Lose It" , just buy the mp3 and save your self the other 11 bucks. - A
