according to Gossard, WIITR stole both his sound AND his logo, so...

I'll throw this on just about anywhere honestly lol. I mean it's tough cuz it's not on Spotify but I find that the right people really dig it and if they don't then they're not the right people and I have to abandon them. I have lost many friends this way.

the passage that begins at about 4:30 in no one may be called as a man is some of my all time favorite music.

It's definitely better than my current rating implies. Probably top 10 for me. Might hit top 5. Haven't been jamming much black metal these past few years but this always gets some play

Two Hunters did almost. Aside from that tho, not a lot of competition. Tho RYM says the new Serpent Column albums are eking into that territory *shrug*

The legend of this album is almost too perfect, down to the weird circumstance that they had already broken up when it was released two years after it was recorded. The only picture of the bassist is of her playing drums for One of gossard’s other bands. Idk who the fucking champs are but I guess the guitarist’s connection is why a lot of people initially sought out W

i'd never listened to the fucking champs before but i'm checking now and the opening to IV sounds like leftover Weakling riffs lol.

some albums are classics because they're the best examples whatever genre they fall under, and others are classics because they do something so idiosyncratic that it's hard to copy.
this album is in the latter category. if they influenced a band's sound, it's gonna be fairly obvious.
