"Cherry-colored" is great but a bit of an awkward opener, the song doesn't quite go anywhere, and I think that works on its own actually but here it just feels like an extended intro, doesn't grab me as much as I'd like. "Pitch the Baby" is also very good but the drums are a bit annoying there. "Iceblink Luck" is the first one I unreservedly love. Compare that with BBK's triple-whammy intro of title track to "Athol-brose" to "Carolyn's Fingers" (my favorite song by them so far).

I think my current ranking (with this being the most uncertain spot) is something like Treasure > Blue Bell Knoll > HOLV > Garlands > Head Over Heels > Victorialand.

I think OG fans probably prefer Treasure but most reappraisal I've seen puts this slightly higher.
A very limited sample but as I've mentioned before my mom was a big fan at the time and I think this is her least favorite CT album (including the ones that followed this).

Cherry Coloured is great and just about top 5, but the second half of this album is CT's absolute peak - Treasure is more evenly spaced and doesn't have anything close to a run that strong

i definitely like it better than treasure. honestly some of the stuff i've heard from four calendar cafe blew my mind, and most of head over heels.
