I forgive you milo
@bob I’m not checking out a single thing you rec ever again until you fulfill the end of your bargain and at the very least listen to that horror city album, even if you don’t review it like you said you would

I know you think you can ignore my pestering and I’ll eventually go away but I think time has proven on many an occasion that that is absolutely not the case

I don't know anything Gibbs has ever said and I don't care, I just don't think he's interesting or creative enough to warrant multiple Madlib releases

Gibbs and alchemist should make a bunch of albums together. Keep them both away from as many superior artists as possible for as long as possible 🤌🏼

and i feel like andre already makes super zany raps to go along with madlib’s more out there beats so it would just be great. it will never happen but i wish it would

nah both madgibbs albums are heat, and i thought the album he made with alchemist was pretty good too
gibbs voice fits those dusty sounding sample heavy beats about as well as anyone imo... really do not care for any of the trap stuff he's done tho

Don’t understand how people could think Alfredo is a mediocre collab with songs like God Is Perfect on it.

Well for starters I think that song is like a light 2.7
Hope this helps

I really dislike Alchemist production. It’s not that I think it’s ~bad~ it’s that everything sounds extremely sterilized. There is no grit. That’s not to say I don’t appreciate some of the instrumentality - the beat for God Is Perfect is “good” - but beyond my general grievance towards alchemists excessive polish, it is also extremely repetitive. This might strike you as a weird criticism for hip hop since that’s a pretty inherent pitfall of a lot of beat-making, but the art of beat-making to me is the ability to take repetition and keep it engaging through nuance. There’s no nuance to that beat. Once you’ve heard it loop once, that’s it. Aside from the outro that is all there is to hear. So even if it’s a good loop, that doesn’t mean it’s a good beat.
As for gibbs? Well his performance on the track is just plain shitty and generic. There is nothing appealing to me about his rhyme schemes, cadence, voice, delivery, anything.

Gibbs sounds like a Dime-a-dozen 2000s rapper trying to sound like a dime-a-dozen 2010s rapper
This is all just my opinion.
