I remember seeing this as a 4.2 not long ago. It is indeed worthy of that 4.3. And I definitely wasn't impressed by this record on first listen as I didn't grasp it whatsoever, and didn't focus on the miasmic assault perhaps because I had low brain oxygen as a result of said assault.

I could be persuaded to re-promote this eventually, will have to revisit with my updated perspective. I haven’t actually heard any DSO in a good while but I love the eerie vibe and pacing of this one.

PARACLETUS wins for me simply because it's (overall) more relentless, a quality that I tend to value when it comes to black metal and its adjuncts. This is still quality, though.
