I love the eerie ambience on this, it’s great when it goes ballistic but the real immersion (for me) comes from everything in between. That atmosphere & the tension, it’s damn good. Every song feels unique & offers intrigue beyond ‘this goes hard’.

I don’t even fully understand it yet (will I ever?) but could still justify a 4.5 right now.

Completely agreed with everything you said, every track on this feels like an unique eerie experience. Album also causes me serious palpitations (damn you Shrine of Mad Laughter), but that doesn't keep me from enjoying the hell out of this.

It’s better than most things, although I haven’t actually heard that one yet & had high expectations.

Jamming this band for the first time today.

I have no idea what I am doing or what the actual fuck is going on right now.

@Dewinged: this is more in the satan-dinner category, but it's so bloody wild and evil that it's just some of the greatest bm out there.

Read in some youtube comment that it's difficult to believe that this is conceived and played by human beings and I heartily agree.

This is madness.

it's highly technical without being noodly and wanky. it's something special for sure and sounds unlike anything else

The closest I can think to this might be last year's Pyrrhon, but that's like tech death, although the chaos reminds me of this a bit.

A Chore For The Lost is one of the best songs to just lose yourself in the intensity to. The little tremolo break at 3:18 before the frantic blasts and that demented god damn 'chorus' at 3:33, like a mutant demon howling up from the pits in a disgusting melody. The lyrics really embody the feel and idea of the entire album and the cover art to a T. It weaves the tale of the personal and spiritual free fall of our character into hell through a suicidal denial of one's own existence; which then allows even greater darkness to manifest through him, now as a slave to the greatest of evils.

'IT IS A TASK, FOR A MAN

WHO CAN NOT BEAR ANY LONGER TO BE...

In the best conceivable way, what a fascinating & simultaneously disconcerting journey.

I should really check 'Synarchy', downloaded it the other day. I want to wait for the right moment, these guys aren't an 'every day situation' type listen. This is pending its potential 5/5, but again I'm just waiting for the right time.

In a way it's frustrating as exercising patience isn't usually my forte.
