Does it have the strong sense of post-rock influence this one does?

I've also heard there's much more harsh vocals on that one.

I bought this album blindly a few years ago.

At first listen I was ready to throw the fucking thing out the window.

Now I'd have sex with the music if it was at all possible.

Sweet review Dancin man.

I bought this album a few days ago, and I love it.

That sweep you talk of, as was mentioned, Orgasmic.

The songs are so well written, its amazing.

I've heard some songs from the album, including the mighty "In The Shadow Of our Pale Complection". That sweep (Ooooooooooooooooooh baby) joins the little acoustic bit in DT's "Octavarium" as 1 of the best short moments in musical history. I'm quite strange yes...

Agalloch is most definitely the future of folk metal....sure they remind us of opeth but their music seems to be my only inspiration in today's world. They're the new sound!!

To loathed. Depends on what you call melodic, if you count epic acoustic guitars and black metal atmospheres over soothing melodies of the bass guitar and the beautifully sung vocals, then yes, ths is plenty melodic.

This is a tremendous album. I'm not sure if I should rate this a 4.5 or 5, but I'll choose 5 because I feel like it.

Flawless, Agalloch's best. I listen to this CD when Im on a really, really long drive during a cold, dark, winter day. That's when I really connect with Agalloch's music the best. This CD has to be listened through, since the album as a whole tells a fantastic story. Awesome CD, great review too.

This doesn't really sound like Opeth, does it?
