MDB has a special weapon: When they move from a dark romantic doom dirge song into a sweeping, awesome riff, like Thy Raven Wings into Love's Intolerable Pain. It's just an awesome effect.
Light At The End does this too, going into Fever Sea. "Enough bullshit, now we smash your face in."
