This was like an awkward middle stage. I love Doom for what it was and the abrupt change in sound was never going to be a total win and took time.
Sun Eater was awesome though after a few decent efforts.

I saw them support Black Dahlia Murder years ago, I think just after they released this and the vocalist is an absolute monster live - best DM vocals I’ve ever heard live tbh

When I saw them in 2010 with Whitechapel and Cattle Decapitation his vocals were a standout also. Remember his highs being more reminiscent of a black metal shriek back then and it was pretty killer

Need to jam it in full again cuz I feel my rating might be a little low on this. Remember going to Hot topic ages ago and getting the picture disc of this and Converge- Axe to Fall on blue wax for $2 a pop and that was a damn good day!

definition of a pretty good album. the divine falsehood is such a huge slapper with that slow tempo.
