While we've definitely heard a lot of this before, the execution on this album is just flawless. Everything sounds perfect and simply soars. I love the swelling guitars mixed with the melancholic and confident vocals, and the acoustic bits are also plucked with a loving and purposeful touch. This album rides through the sky and wraps up the clouds in a clautrophobic cacophony. 4/5 for me.

This album is so amazing, I'm so in love with it, it sucks that this shit came out this month, that means I'm going to have to listen to these six songs for at least another year before I get more  , oh well I don't see myself getting sick of it any time soon, go buy this right now if you like music.

The production on this is ridiculously shiny?
Unless I have a really bad version, mine sounds like standard lo-fi black metal. The overall sound is very trebly. It particularly makes the clean guitar parts sound lifeless and dull.

it doesn't sound like "standard lo-fi black metal" at all.
but i do think the production makes everything besides the distorted guitars and vocals sound very tinny and dull.
