Without question this is the album of the year, the best release since The Arcade Fire's "Funeral".

I just listened to the tracks on their myspace. I didn't think it was anything special. The harmonies and guitarwork are no more impressive than a band like Brand New. Many of the harmonic progressions and choices of arpeggiations are practically the same. The way it's different is that the music is given this mix of shoegaze and epic. "Printemps Emeraude" ends in a pretty cool fashion but everything leading up to that was a bore. They're sort of like Envy but emerging from a metal scene instead of a post-hardcore emo one. In fact this is a lot like a 90-lb weakling version of Envy. I'll get the full album before I have any really ideas.

Hey DFelon, this album was on today's Daily Upload, so if you're want the rest, I'll rep/e-mail you the link.

Other than that, I haven't given this a listen yet. But I will later on.

Just about all of the songs use the same formula. After awhile, it gets really tedious.

What kind of connection do you have? It took me maybe 8-10 min. at ~120kb/sec.

So I've listened. It's pretty cool. Inferior to Envy but better than I expected considering the lot repping this album.

I wonder what would happen if he created an album with really shiney production. It might work.
