@Mena: It reminds me of Richard Elfman and of course Danny Elfman (who are brothers). They both worked

on an 80s film

called The Forbidden Zone, but once Danny Elfman got Oingo Boingo off the ground and of course started

working with Tim Burton, he got pushed into the limelight. And where's Richard Elfman? Nobody really

knows. He's been making a bunch of underground films that have been completely off the radar.

imposing such an order on the whole body of classical music is pretty damn gay

my generalizing was in regards to my own personal taste but okay

supposedly, when it comes to Bach's popularity/influence during the Classical era, while many people, especially composers, were familiar with Bach, his influence was more inclined to be indirectly by that of his achievements through musical society as well as his advancements of contrapuntal technique and harmony, as his direct influence wasn't as widespread until the mid 19th century where most of his works were rediscovered and mass published for the first time

Yeah but how can you say that all of 20th century classical music is better than all Baroque/Classical music when they completely changed style every ten years for the better half of the 20th century

Felix Mendelssohn was the composer who really got the ball rolling in terms of reviving Bach's work

and increasing recognition of him

This is what it all comes down to, can anyone honestly say classical music is total fucking shit?
A bland, base, emotionless dirge.
