Ehh, I'm a religious fan of RHCP and this was mediocre at best. I hate how nothing from pre- Freaky Styley got on. Old RHCP > New. You said Aeroplane was stupid!? :amaze:

under the bridge was written about, i can't recall clearly, but i believe it was anthonys, drug addiction. he use to buy his drugs underneath the bridge, or he would take them under the bridge, i cant remember which one...but either way, it was inspired by his drug habits.

great starter (and ender) if your looking into the RHCP. i find alot of their albums just weird and/or dumb. one of the finer compilations to this day

btw Entwistle, the reason there's no pre BSSM stuff is because this greatest hits is from EMI, whereas all the albums before BSSM were on a different label (exc Higher Ground and UTB because of something in the contract about the videos) so you can't complain (get What Hits? a truly worthwhile greatest hits and very well compiled)

Under The Bridge is about Anthony's drug addiction where he used to go under a bridge in the ghetto with some gangsters and take drugs. He made up the song while driving home one day after a recording session.....

RHCP arnt really what id listen to, but they have had alot of success over the years. I like Scar Tissue, Otherside, Californication, Fortune Faded, and i also liked the opening of Save The Population. A great album, though some of their older music i cant take to lol a creditable 3.5.

i always thought that "greatest hits" discs were pretty sleazy but after recieving it as a gift i now realize that it was the disc that got me hooked on the RHCP. i was mostly satisfied with the song selection but of course everyone(including me) have our own ideas on what should have and shouldnt have been put on the album. whatever, good review and disc!

This DVD is so awesome! Its got all the good Chili songs on it. I thought Give It Away was the most funniest video Ive ever seen. Can you imaging Anthony wearing a golden man-thong?! Haha!!!!
