Spoon is so damn good, so goes without saying that anything post "A Series of Sneaks" (a great album in its own right) is pretty much awesome. Yet, I have always been confused at an almost consensus that this album is either their best, or at least a good starting point. Wonderful album, but probably has always laid comfortably around my 3, 4, or 5 hole in terms of favorites.

Given this my first listen, used to jam KTM back in high school but didn’t explore beyond that . Hope I enjoy this, because the band seems pretty decent

'owing is the OK sounding, pedestrian sounding "Rhthm and Soul", which drummer Jim Eno keeps the song from becoming downright boring and bland. This song just feels half-finished and incomplete compared to the rest of the album... almost as if Spoon needed one more song on the album. The weakest track of the album.'
awful take

Maybe I am too much of a prog head, but for some reason I just don't 'get' their music. I don't know, it just bores me, without being bad in my eyes
EDIT: Woa, I gave this a 4.0! Maybe I'm misremembering lol. I must have liked it.
