I agree with you 100% there BassDemon. This will most likely be their best release above anything else they will do.

No way. That has some good songs, but nothing else they've done is even close to this overall.
Potato, can you suck any more than you do?

I happen to like all of Stone Sours Albums and have been listening to them since the beginning. Some people complain about Come (whatever) May and Audio Secrecy being a bit softer, but I think it's fine as they are showing different sides. Both of those albums had their share of heavy kick ass songs as well. I'm not sure why everyone complains but it all sounds good to me!

The first half of this album is especially solid, but after track 8 it all goes downhill. One of few albums in this genre I still listen to on occasion

Prior to putting on their Slipknot masks, Corey Taylor & James Root fronted Stone Sour; an alt-metal quintet who finally get around to releasing their self-titled debut LP. Taking on a darker, grungier tone than Slipknot, the Iowan band deceptively infuse a good dose of melody into their tunes. Unfortunately, it all tends to bleed together over the course of 51 minutes, the album almost being too consistent. With 2 singles being nominated for Grammy awards though, this promising debut will hopefully allow Stone Sour every chance to grow, despite a more successful alternate project. Recommended Tracks: Monolith, Inhale & Bother.

The more I listen to Stone Sour, the more I can tell this is Corey's original band and not Slipknot, his voice fits Stone Sour better IMO
