Yeah, at this point I actually prefer this to Oceania. That was hailed as a return to form but it reeks of damage control. I like the dark "Zero EP" vibe they were going for with the heavier tracks here and Neverlost is a really cool post-punk type ballad, obviously Stellar is excellent and I'd love a whole album in that style.

This is without question better than Monuments and Shiny. This actually isn’t a bad album at all, fairly underrated imo. But Oceania is solid as fuck, their best since Machina and I would definitely call it a return to form. Too bad it went to shit after with Monuments, which I consider to be their worst album — opener on that is awesome tho. Think it’s called Tiberius?

Could never get into Monuments at all, despite trying quite a bit. As a massive longtime Pumpkins fan, I damn well tried. Tiberius is awesome though.

i think that & a lot of what Corgo's doing on guitar are really this album's calling card. Billy doesn't seem to need to write super emotionally resonant songs anymore, but at least it's still fun to hear them playing together on this level. Wish they'd actually do that on the newer stuff especially now that James is back in
