For some reason I thought Orblivion came before Orbus Terrarum, so I'm revising my statement to say:

This is one of the best albums ever. The first few Orb albums are all classics. I'd say all the way up to Orblivion.

Other great albums of the time are Future Sounds of London's Lifeforms and Dead Cities. Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works Volume II and Richard D. James Album are great too.

Needs it's own category to separate it from plebeian genres... i.e. ones that aren't Trip Hop.

If I could only listen to 3 (sub)genres for the rest of my life I'd seriously consider Trip Hop despite the supposed huge dip in quality after x number of releases and it being mostly contained to 1.5 decades. If I can have Downtempo included as a related add-on, then I'd take it.

(other two being death + post metal)
