Haha, it would have but it would have been neat to wonder what new ideas they'd explore. Anyway just in case you dont know Chuck disbanded Death after this album and formed a progressive metal band called Control Denied. They made one album before he died. But Chuck actually recorded all the guitar and wrote the music and lyrics for a second Control Denied album. It hasn't been released due to legal problems though, as I mentioned in my review. The legal battles have been going on for so long I'm starting to wonder if it will ever come out though.

Awesome review, haven't been any Death reviews for a long while.
Scavenger of Human Sorrow has one of the craziest intro's ever.

^^ Yeah it does. Before this album the only death metal I had heard was In Flames and Opeth. I had no idea just how freaking insane it could actually get, its also one reason why I'm so partial to this album over Death's other albums.

One of my all time favorite albums. Every track is great, and I absolutely LOVE Richard Christy. Pisses me off that he's not in any bands any more.

Human is excellent it has my favorite Death track on it, Flattening Of Emotions but I just feel like a couple tracks don't hold up to well. But if you like this album then you really need to check out every Human era Death album. This Message Edited On 07.20.07

One of the best metal albums around.
Still love Symbolic more, though. Go Hoglan!

I havn't heard Individual Thought Patterns yet but I prefer Reinhert's playing to Hoglan's based on Human vs. Symbolic.

Hoglan's the man.
Watch out for him on the upcoming Dethklok album. I'm sure he'll rape face.

Oh I'm so psyched for the dethklok album. I actually really like the creator as a guitarist, he plays hilariously cheesy death metal and Hoglan's gonna give Dethklok the drumming they need. It's gonna be more bluntly death metal than even Cannibal Corpse.
