Haha, I already thought this would please you. I like the space they've left between the instruments, super tastefully done. It only clicked very recently though, and I don't know anything about it's lasting potential for me yet.
I don't remember checking many Luna albums. But they're pretty different from these guys, right?

Yeah they are. Same broad genre, but I’ve found that liking one definitely isn’t a guarantee you’ll like the other.
I was going to say that you should check Salvation as it’s filled with twinkly ambience and thought it might appeal. Definitely more ‘space’ in that one.
I suppose this shares some vague similarities with Doom from a slowness/atmosphere standpoint. Is that why you like it, or is it not a conscious thing (yet)?

I don't know! I like how calm and majestic this is, and how the aforementioned space is everywhere. I like the drum sound. I like the vox. Those last two especially are problematic sometimes.

It’s calm apart from when it isn’t - not sure anyone has ever used that adjective to describe Neurosis before. There are moments of serenity though, I guess.
